Mondial du Lion 2024 Receives the REEVE Label

Each year, the departmental park of l’Isle Briand hosts the Mondial du Lion, an international eventing competition that brings together the world’s best 6- and 7-year-old horses. For the 2024 edition, the event is taking a new step in its ecological transition: it has been awarded the REEVE label (Réseau Éco Événement).

This recognition highlights the work carried out over several years to reduce the event’s environmental footprint, improve the experience for both the public and the teams, and strengthen our ties with the local community. Already certified at the Excellence level by the EQUURES label, the Mondial du Lion reaffirms its commitment to combining sporting excellence, animal welfare, and environmental responsibility.

♻️ What does this mean in practice?

  • A collective approach to mobility, including the development of carpooling and public transport options, thanks to the Kuhoo.tz platform and Aléop.
  • An optimized waste management, with clear and efficient sorting throughout the site.
  • A special attention to accessibility, inclusion, and the well-being of volunteers and service providers.
  • Close collaboration with local stakeholders: public authorities, local businesses, and associations.

🏅 The REEVE label, awarded by the Réseau Éco Événement, is known for its high standards. It is based on a rigorous self-assessment, concrete actions, and long-term commitment.

Receiving this label means making a commitment—but also improving our actions every year.

🌱 The Mondial du Lion 2024 is part of this dynamic: an event that takes care of its environment, and all those who bring it to life.
